Charming New Fragrance From Orla Kiely
Last night saw the launch of Orla Kiely's first new fragrance – an Eau De Parfum available in 100ml RRP £55, 60ml £42 and a purse spray £32. Journalists from top publications, retailers, publishers and bloggers flocked to her store in Covent Garden to discover the new fragrance from the famous fashion designer. Orla's shop was transformed for the launch to welcome everyone into her exciting new fragrance world! Champagne and canapes were in full flow and gorgeous cupcakes were simply too good to resist with the Orla statement flower iced on each cake! Orla Kiely is renowned for her instinctive and creative use of colour, retro-inspired patterns and playful approach to design. Over the last decade she has created a brand with a distinctive and accessible world encompassing womenswear, accessories, travel and homeware.
A licensing deal was agreed in January 2010 between KMI Brands and Orla Kiely for the creation and distribution of all fragrance and home fragrance products. This partnership brought together a wonderful new fragrance that is charming yet unique. It is a delicious fruity floral fragrance with top notes of green tea, entwined with appetising peach and luscious Fig. Orla's heart reveals its tender side with heady Rose, delicate White Flowers, Osmanthus and a hint of Chocolate. With base notes of Sandalwood, Cedarwood and Musk – these define this wonderful extraordinary fragrance.
The product launch will begin in Harrods, Arnotts Dublin, the Orla Kiely store and www.orlakielyperfume.com on August 2nd. This will be followed two weeks later by the Debenhams group and national roll out from August 30th.
As well as the Eau De Parfum there will be a showergel and body cream in the range which will both contain the delicate scent of the fragrance. In October 2010 a range of seven home products including candles, diffusers and a handwash will also launch across the UK and Eire.
